World Malaria Day is April 25th - What Can You Do?
Malaria kills approximately 2,000 children a day. Several organizations are calling people's attention to the plight of people in foreign countries, especially with the recent threat to cuts in funding for assistance to foreign countries. Here's a list of a few things that you and your group can do to help.
- Contact your senator today and ask them to support the Kerry-Lugar amendment and ensure that AIDS and malaria programs are protected.
- Register for the Acting on AIDS's Summit on the Hill, which takes place April 25-28 in Washington D.C.
- Visit the Night of Nets website for more information on how you can donate time and resources to help the fight against malaria.
