Valerie Henderson-Odell was a TMC member at Worcester HERC in Worcester, MA from 2008 through 2010. In addition to helping organize and facilitate programs with the young people served by Worcester HERC Valerie also helped in building capacity and managing day to day tasks for the organization as well. In handling the overall operations of the site Valerie became acutely aware the expenses associated with running a site. Seeing the ever-present need to minimize costs Valerie did her final project on a topic that has a serious effect on the finances of any site. Valerie's final project was on energy efficiency and ways that sites can save money while improving the overall quality of their energy efficiency.
