Who They Serve: Residents of greater Pine Island who are in need of home repairs due to hurricane damage

What They Do: Housing redevelopment, housing repairs, assistance with filing appropriate paperwork, referrals to other social service agencies

Brief Description:

Pine Island Long Term Recovery has recruited donations and mobilized over 400 volunteers to help repair and rebuild damaged homes.  Over 1,000 individuals have been served since 2004 (454 in the past 12 months).  They work closely with Centro Campesino to serve migrant workers who have lost their homes as well as with FEMA, Red Cross, local government, businesses and the Conrad Hilton Foundation.
