Brief Description :
Their “Life and Work” Training program works with One Stop Career Centers, Goodwill Industries, Charity Cars, and other agencies to enable unemployed and underemployed individuals to develop the skills and assets they require to obtain a job. The program works with clients moving from welfare to work, immigrants getting started in the American workplace, clients stuck in minimum wage jobs, and individuals who are unable to find any employment. Through soft skills training, mentoring, career counseling, material assistance, and case management, 65% of program graduates have been placed in jobs that pay an average of $9.05 per hour.
