Brief Description:

These four cooperatives provide members with an opportunity to work together to provide additional food for themselves and other needy people in the Grant Park and Summerhill Neighborhoods in Atlanta.    Each co-op has its own steering committee and meets once every two weeks to distribute food.  The dues are $2 per person for those who are able to pay them.  All co-op members work together and the amount of food distributed to each family is based upon its size.  The cooperatives serve 200 families, or about 800 people, with many more on a waiting list.
