Claire, H.S.V. et al. Divorce and children. Regal Books. This book helps anyone understand the hearts of children and parents who are going through divorce, in blended families, or in need of counseling. It offers biblical insight and practical help.
Duncan, T.R. et al. (1979). You’re divorced, but you’re children aren’t. New York: Prentice Hall . The author estimates the impact of divorce on children and offers suggestions for making it through the transition and regaining a normal life.
Groller, E.A. (ed.). (1969). Explaining divorce to children. Boston: Beacon Press. Though dated, the advice in this book is still helpful for explaining divorce to children and helping them cope. The research of this book is still valid, and a Rabbi’s suggestions for children of divorce are wise.
Hart, A.D. (1982). Children of divorce. Waco, TX: Word Books. This psychologist and children’s advocate addresses feelings that may scar a child for life. Parents who are hurting from a divorce must still help children contend with their own healing process.
