YOUTH AND COMMUNITY FUNDING
PREAMBLE
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This is an Organization to support all the poor people of (Mcbo) MBUINZAU MATAMBYA MUONZA CBO.
It will target on the residents with social support meant to reduce their isolation and stress as a result of stigmatization and discrimination associated with poverty.
These are already people who suffer as a result of famine and drought which is brought by lack of water and rain.
The project will include non_directly affected in order combat discrimination of all and stigmatization of the project itself.
This initiative will build on efforts of the groups whose working in the areas by complementing rather than duplicating them as far as possible

INTRODUCTION Mbuinzau Matambya Muonza Communitity Based Organization (M3CBO) is based at Mbuinzau sub-location, Makueni District. Easter province, In the Republic of Kenya
The organization is actively involved in social development activities for the benefit of the members and their community since its inception.
Mbuinzau Sub location is situated in one of the arid regions of Kenya approximately 200kms South East Nairobi.
The local people of Mbuinzau are Kamba who were famous for hunting, Traditional dances, small scale farmers, keeping cattle e.t.c.currrently the people of Mbuinzau Sub location most of them about 75% are Christians and the rest Muslims and few who believe in traditional ways of worship.
As a result of poverty, residents of Mbuinzau love one another dearly and shares whatever little they get. It is therefore why MCBO has been formed so that it may help the people of Mbuinzau start projects which can make them sustainable and become actors of their own development.
MCBO has qualified officials and members who have experience of coping with the problems of their community.MCBO aims in helping Mbuinzau residents get good nutrition, health, shelter, water so that they can develop social living and psycho social support.
11) PROBLEMS STATEMENTS
The common problems in Mbuinzau which makes the local residents poor is brought by: _
i) Famine ii) Drought iii) Lack of enough education
Mbuinzau is a very dry place it gets a very little rain and farming becomes difficulty because of little water which cannot support plants .Therefore MCBO has proposed projects which can enable residents of Mbuinzau get water for farming.
Famine and drought makes Mbuinzau people so poor that nothing else is not addressed expect how to get food. Children of Mbuinzau never go beyond primary school level due to this poverty brought by famine and drought.

B) Goal
a) To improve the emotional and social health of local residents of Mbuinzau Sub location and it’s surrounding. b) To develop healthier and happy community.
C) Activities
a) Activities with a budgetary implication includes :_ i) Planning meeting with collaborators and the target group. ii) Project logistics iii) Community rights sensitization iv) Capacity building D) Beneficiaries The direct beneficiaries of this project will be the members of MCBO and community of Mbuinzau Sub-Location and its surroundings, people who cannot afford three square meal a day and earns less than a dollar daily.
E) Achievements It is hoped that: a) Poverty will be alleviated through this project b) Living condition will be improved. c) Community will be sensitized of their rights.
IV) METHODOLOGY
a) The project will be implemented in Mbuinzau Sub-Location and its surroundings b) The implementation plan will involve the youth as well as the community c) Sensitizing the community on their rights. The project hopes to facilitate and enabling environment where the poor may effectively cope with the impact of poverty on their lives d) The project will collaborate with other organization and institute working in the region and liaise with local chief e) Data will be routinely collected recorded and analyzed to ensure implementation is according to the plan and that resources utilization enhance attainment of desired objectives V) MONITORING AND EVALUATION Elements to be monitored include: a) Resources utilization b) Level and nature of social interaction among the community c) Coverage of both activities and the target group d) Effect of the project on the communities attitude towards the poor e) Follow up activities will be carried out by MCBO members, this team will observe and listen to the community members and youth in order to assess the impact the project on the community themselves f) Decomposing plan into quarterly plans with an accompanying schedule of activities. g) Review meetings will be held to stake stock the achievement of the quarterly plans and plan for the next quarter. h) Track plan will be kept for implementation hold bi-annual reflection meetings aimed at interrogating the planned and unexpected direction of work i) Re-engineer the plans and ensure that they are consistent with the aspiration of the organization.
VI) FUTURE FUNDING It is hoped that the project will sustain itself in future through: a) Proceedings from the income generating activities. b) Member’s monthly subscription. c) Fund raising. d) Continuity funding by donors.
VII) INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY
MCBO is managed by a constitution and a committee of people with training and experience in different fields and any gap in capacity in terms of specialized skills will be filled through collaboration with other organization and individuals.
MCBO has a bank account with three signatories and is operated according its constitution.
