Description

Sacramento Community Family Resources

We are seeking volunteers and a volunteer coordinator to assist in fulfilling the needs of individuals and families within our community.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this opportunity! For the most part we are an Internet-based information and referral service for connecting people in the community to the services they need. Typically, individuals and families who are in crisis or at risk of beccoming in crisis will contact us to locate a emergency shelter, food box, etc. This is an opportunity to work from your home as we are not a "resource center". Please trust that we help thoundsands of people each month and during the holidays we put together projects such as sponsering a family for Christmas. This is a great opportunity for a dew to several hours, virtual volunteering, occasional hands on, and board memebership. You can view on of our websites here http://www.onefatherslove.com

Thank you, and feel free to call our 24 hour helpline at (916) 514-NEED (6333) Please leave a message if I do not answer.

Victor Stark, founder

Requirements:
Some helpful things to have:

1. A computer with an Internet connection.

2. A phone that does NOT go by the minute.

3. Vehicle transportation a plus, but not necessary.

4. Some college units are a plus if you want to help college students in their research of topics, such as homeless Shelters or Domestic Violence.

5. Volunteers can work from your own home or throughout the day from whereever you are.
