Description

Hogar Immigrant Services, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington, is seeking volunteers to teach English once a week for two hours. Our fun loving team of 300 plus volunteers taught survival English to nearly 3,000 immigrants last year. We are now recruiting volunteers for our ESOL classes that will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon and at St. leo the Great Catholic Church in Fairfax this winter. Classes are held Wednesday and Thursday nights or Sunday mornings-- just pick one day to teach on a weekly basis.

No experience is necessary since training and materials are provided.

Come help someone learn English!

Requirements:
You don't need foreign language proficiency or previous experience. Just bring your smile, talents and compassion for others. Hogar volunteers attend a six hour training, and are given a teacher's toolbox of games, activities and resources and an easy to follow teacher's guide.
