The Phonetics Solution and Culture Communication Centre (PSC), which supported by the center for international professional and technological co-operation and exchange - under the Ministry of Education of Vietnam. It is located in Hanoi and local towns. As with all businesses, we carry out business activities to deliver quality educational services. The difference is that we are at the very heart of what they do, and the profits we make are reinvested towards helping disadvantaged youth.
PSC is looking for qualified Native Volunteer English Teachers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or UK, with several years of experience in teaching English. The position is full-time. It includes teaching children as well as adults in ABC Communication Classes and IELTS as Tutors, Tutors will assist with the development of studentÂ’s English language learning. You will have the chance to teach and experience the real Vietnam and other provincial cities and towns.
Volunteers can choose to teach English to children either of kindergarten to university age and as phonetic teachers and assistants. With this position the volunteer receives $500 to $1500 per month, depending on qualifications, experience and hours worked, salary and benefits paid in Vietnamese Dong,
Project Duration:
Positions will be for 3 – 12 months. The minimum placement will be for 3 months. Applicants requesting long term placements will be favorably considered.
Role Statement: Volunteers will work as language expert to help our program with the following objectives:
• Assist with English language tuition during class
• Provide extra-curricular tuition and activities to encourage
• Prepare a monthly report to PSC outlining activities and relevant aspects of the development of their students.
• Upon completion of their placement, prepare a handover document that will allow incoming tutors to settle in more easily.

Requirements:
• Recognized qualification in Teaching English Language.
• Experience working with children/youth.
• Ability to live and work in a low socio-economic, rural environment in a developing country
• BA required
• Should be a sensitive, patient, flexible, and a creative problem-solver

Salary and benefits
Please note that this is paid position, there is no cost to participate.
1. Tutors will be paid monthly salary
2. Accommodation: PSC will assist the volunteer to book accommodation at Hanoi old Quarter, the central tourist location. The hostel is available for as little as US$6 per night. We will assist to find accommodation that suits the budget or comfort requirements of the volunteer
3. PSC will cover all costs associated with the tutors travel to the project site.
4. Meals: There are no meals provided with this program unless the volunteer would like to stay and help the local staff with lunch and dinner, Volunteers will find meals in Hanoi very affordable depending upon individual tastes. Most meals are below $US2.
How do I get involved ?
Step 1- Send us a motivated letter, the completed volunteer CV form -colour photo must be inserted in résumé and submitted electronically. A photocopy of the passport, Documents are to be sent to psc.edu.vietnam@gmail.com
Step 2- When we receive your application, we will notify you immediately. Please give us 1-3 weeks to process your application and match your placement. We will send you a notify of preliminary acceptance and a pre-departure booklet, teaching contract formÂ… within 1-2 weeks
Step 3 -You should begin preparing for travel by obtaining all necessary documents (passport, visa) and meeting immunization requirements
Step 4- Make your travel arrangements and other practical arrangements.
Step 6- Go and enjoy your program, our staff will pick you up at the airport and take you to PSC office to make a teaching contract and your beginning.
