Description

We are searching for Volunteer Veterans willing to share their precious time to help a family that is providing end of life care for a loved one. Volunteers work directly with Veterans and families to provide companionship, emotional support, and respite breaks for caregivers. Volunteer Veterans will have the unique ability to support other Veterans who are terminally ill. Specialized training is scheduled for Volunteer Veterans to understand their role in assisting hospice patients.

Requirements:
Commitment, compassion, an open mind, a warm heart, the desire to provide comfort and the ability to
listen are the only requirements to be a Hospice Volunteer. Hospice staff will provide all training
required
