Description
We provide teaching volunteering opportunities in partnership with the Ghana Education Service (Awutu Senya District) and some other private schools within the community, placing volunteers in areas where their assistance will be needed.
Lack of teachers in most of the local schools leads to lack of motivation among the student population and low standard of education in the surrounding area. Teaching volunteering helps to solve some of these challenges and volunteers in the past have been a source of motivation to both pupils and staff of the schools.
Volunteering as a teacher in one of our local schools (Nursery/Kindergarten, Primary, Junior High, Senior High, charity home schools, commercial, technical and vocational schools), you can choose to teach any of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Computer Studies (ICT), Social Studies, French, Geography, History, Accounting, Business Management, Home Economics, Technical Drawing, Creative Arts, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Music, or any other skills you are interested in teaching such as Photography, Web Design, First Aid .etc. If you are an experienced teacher, you could volunteer by training other educational professionals
At the end of the placement, volunteers are awarded a certificate and a reference letter from Cheerful Hearts Foundation and the host institution, including a testimonial from the Ghana Education Service
