Description

Combine tours, movie nights, and discussion based activities with local ministry projects to immerse yourself within the city of Atlanta, GA. Be brought back to the roots of slavery through the civil rights movement, and fast forward to explore modern day racial reconciliation issues and what it looks like to create a truly diverse community in todayÂ’s society. Work alongside of local organizations focusing on community development, learn from them, and help them achieve their mission. Work alongside the local church to help create a healthy, diverse community. Leave with an understanding of the history of racial oppression; as well as modern day racial tensions, and take it all back home to help create a solution.

Applications must be received 45 days prior to planned departure. Applications can be downloaded from our website and mailed or faxed. Contact our offices at (304) 248-8080 or e-mail us at missiontrips@wegoglobal.com. We will send you the requested information with a prospect sheet asking for potential dates, location of your trip and group size. We will then work with you to help determine the right date and place for group's trip.
Global Outreach has relationships with local churches and works alongside of the local church.
Team leaders and members will receive a leaders/member manual prior to trip date with organizational rules and guidelines. Some training/orientation will be provided on field as well as some debriefing upon conclusion of the trip. Additional training and/or debriefing is the responsibility of the team leader. Online or resident training is available upon special arrangement.

Cost is for trip of six days and five nights. Trip is Saturday through Thursday. Travel to site and during trip is not included. Two meals a day are provided. Cost for work project materials and/or other ministries is not included.
