Description

Common Hope is seeking a full time volunteer physician who is willing to serve for a minimum of one year in our primary care clinic in Antigua, Guatemala.

Requirements:
I.General Requirements

Commitment to the mission, vision, values, principles and goals of Common Hope and its two sites in Guatemala
Demonstrated attitude of service and commitment to work in a service environment and learn about Guatemalan culture
Willingness to work onsite and in the villages
Willingness to share work experiences with donors, sponsors, vision teams and others to raise consciousness and fund-raise
Ability to work effectively in both Spanish and English, with strong oral and written communication skills
Integrity, openness, and honesty
Flexibility and creativity
Ability to work on a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team

II. Specific requirements of the position

Medical degree or at least 3rd year medical student
Clinical experience with pediatric and adult patients
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Culturally sensitive and respectful of patient and co-worker customs
Openness to performance evaluation
