Peru Volunteering-Social-Microfinance Client Interviewer- Edaprospo
|
Description
Edaprospo´s microfinance program, Prosperidad, is in need of a volunteer to communicate with their clients on a regular basis by conducting interviews to assess eligibility and also follow-ups to determine the success of the micro-loan on the client´s business and living condition. The funds that Prosperidad receives from Kiva, its funder, are dependent on these interviews and follow-ups - however, the staff are often very busy and appreciate assistance in carrying out this task.
You will go into the communities to meet with the clients and conduct interviews. You will meet the clients in various locations, such as their homes or in markets where they operate their businesses, and will converse with them over a list of pre-determined interview questions. At your initial and follow-up appointments, you will take photos of each client. These interviews and photos will be edited with the assistance of a staff member. You will then post them on the Kiva website. These tasks will be carried out several times per week. You may also be asked to assist the staff in promotional activities to reach more women as potential recipients of microloans.
