Description
Are you a budding actor, dancer or musician? Do you love to make children laugh while they learn? This project combines a fantastic teaching programme with performance and creative arts, working as a team in a range of primary schools delivering a programme of lessons and assemblies tackling a range of social issues. There can be few things in life more rewarding than inspiring young minds, and in this project you'll have the opportunity to inspire many! You will be trained to use a special education programme in a wide variety of primary schools delivering a range of assemblies and lessons. Using a combination of drama, music, video and other performance skills, this unique and innovative style of education gives children the opportunity to explore important social, emotional and spiritual themes in a way that is sensitive and relevant to all. This project takes big concepts - social responsibility, community cohesion, global citizenship, inclusion - and gives them meaning to children. Based on many years experience of working in schools and the community, their unique and innovative approach has proved successful as they seek to equip children as a positive force in facing the challenges of today. Drawing off Christian values they set new standards in creative communication to children. Working as part of a local team, you will join this national UK project and help to bring fun and learning into the classroom in an innovative and highly creative way. During the course of the year there will also be opportunities to get involved in assisting and performing to local community groups, as well as giving your input to a new programme specially designed to raise awareness of disability issues.
