Serve the Lord as a mentor or friend to one or more unemployed adults in Tuesday night classes for 13-weeks. The course, offered twice a year, is called Keys and Steps to Personal and Professional Success. It provides spiritual strengthening combined with career soft skills. A different pastor each week teaches Who Am I?, Who is God?, God and Relationships, God and Work, Authority, Attitude, Integrity, Communication, Conflict, Stewardship and Excellence-in-All, using our 85-page Course Workbook. The mentor may lead small group discussion using our 105-page course workbook. Many mentors start off getting on-the-job training by taking the course along with participants. Ten days before each course we hold an orientation meeting for mentors. Also, we have a 32-page Mentor Training Guidelines booklet. Requirements: A number of mentors are lay leaders in their churches.
