Description
Meals provide an opportunity for relationships to grow and allow TreeHouse youth a chance to have a 'family meal' with other youth and staff. Use your cooking skills to cook and serve a meal to TreeHouse youth. Teens (16 and older), families, and adults can prepare a healthy balanced meal for a group of TreeHouse youth and staff for them to enjoy together before program begins (Tuesday and/or Thursday nights at 6:00PM). TreeHouse provides the kitchen and Meal Hosts will need to provide all the food and supplies, as well as actually cooking the meal.
If you are unable to come on Tuesdays or Thursdays, but enjoy cooking another option is to make a meal that can be frozen and store it at TreeHouse for the staff to cook. A frozen meal must be clearly labeled and come with instructions on how to prepare.
Requirements:
1. Must enjoy cooking.
2. Communicate with TreeHouse staff about the meal.
3. Supply all the ingredients (food, cookware, beverages, untensils, etc.).
4. If unable to cook and serve on Tuesday/ Thursday, clearly label meal with detailed instructions on how to prepare the meal.
5. All meals must be healthy and well- balanced.
6. Vegetarian options are great!
