Description
Through our Juvenile Justice Ministry, and in partnership with Colorado's Division of Youth Corrections, Christian adults are matched with delinquent young people who have been paroled from a state institution in the Denver metro area. The goals of the relationship are to live "life on life" with the teen, help them problem solve, and make a successful transition to parole by connecting the youth with a local church in his/her neighborhood.
Requirements
Mentors must go through a thorough screening and background check process including FBI, fingerprinting and UA. Mentors who work with youth are also asked to document each visit with a youth through case notes.
