Internship Title: Volunteer Immigration Legal Internship
Volunteer Position Location: 620 S. Elm Street, Suite 315, Greensboro, NC
Commitment: Both Full-time and Part-time positions are available. Must be able to commit a minimum of 16 hours per week.
Start Date: Summer 2012
Job Description:
The Intern will support the Non-profit’s existing programmatic work on Citizenship (N-400, N-648, and N-600), the immigration consequences of criminal convictions, and petitions related to immigrant crime victims.
Intern will Coordinate all aspects of a client’s case, including client communication, relevant research, translation, drafting personal statements, preparing immigration forms, writing memos, and advocacy with law enforcement and other agencies. Attend clients’ interviews with USCIS officers for immigration benefits, aiding in interpretation.

Experience: Interns should be professional, patient, and have a demonstrated commitment to Immigrants’ Rights. Experience working in immigration law is helpful.
Requirements:
• Adults Ages (20+)
• Consent to and pass a background screening
• Second Language preferred
