Description
Companionship Volunteer-Visits with patients, Reads to them, Writes letters, Helps put together photo albums, Listens to their concerns, and documents their concerns relative to patient care, so Home Care Coordinator can share important Volunteer Visits with the PatientÂ’s Team.
Transportation Volunteer-Transport patients(those who are ambulatory) to doctors offices, store, and even on a tour of Garden of the Gods just to get out of the house. Our transportation volunteers are limited now, due to high gas prices.
Housekeeping Volunteer-Light housekeeping for patientsÂ…Dishes, Vacuuming, DustingÂ…We need more of theseÂ…Our volunteers are very compassionate, but most of them clean their own houses, and would rather not clean a patientÂ’s home.
Requirements:
Good listeners with caring hearts. Houskeeping skills for some jobs. Must be physically fit. There is a 22-hour volunteer orientation which must be completed before a person is assigned a volunteer job.
