We are currently seeking volunteers to staff our 24/7 suicide prevention helpline. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization and while they come from many different backgrounds and experiences they share a desire to make our community stronger through the simplicity of human connection. Successful candidates will possess the ability to empathize with others and have strong listening skills. No previous experience is required; all volunteers receive training that will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide emotional support to callers. Our commitment is 200 hours for adult volunteers (done in 4 hour shift blocks) and 125 hours for teen volunteers (done in 3 hour shift blocks). We are currently seeking applications (from candidates 15 years of age and older) for the following positions: Adult Volunteers Teen Volunteers To begin the application process, interested candidates must attend an Information Session and complete an interview with a current staff member or volunteer.
