Description

A disabled woman has recently moved, first from a house to a 3 bedroom apartment, and now from a 3 bedroom apartment to a studio apartment! However, as her space decreased in size, her “stuff” hasn’t, and as a result she’s having trouble organizing your belongings to fit her new home. She easily gets overwhelmed with organizing and sorting. Her apartment is very clean, just cluttered with boxes that need to be sorted through and ordered. She has a great sense of humor and is fun to visit with, and needs a volunteer who is patient, gentle, and “not bossy.” She’s not ready to just throw a lot of stuff away; she needs care and understanding from an organizing superhero volunteer. She’s not able to do this work herself because she has a huge amount of chronic back pain and arthritis. The idea of organizing alone adds to her anxiety, which in turn makes her other symptoms worse! Are you a gentle, understanding individual who likes to organize, and do you have an hour a week to help her get her apartment organized and in order? An hour a week would make a real difference in this woman’s life. She also would love rides to run errands.
