Description

Everyday, 1 in 9 seniors faces the threat of hunger. Volunteers like you can help lower this number and provide nutrition to hundreds of seniors across the Denver Metro area by signing up to be a Market Basket Volunteer Driver.

Volunteers of America's Market Basket Program is working to alleviate hunger among seniors by providing homebound seniors with a monthly basket of food that includes 10 nutritious, complete frozen meals, fresh produce, whole grain breads, low-fat dairy products and non-perishable foods. Volunteers are needed to assist with delivery of the baskets in the Denver Metro area. Routes are available on Saturday mornings and usually take no more than two hours.

Requirements:
Volunteers must be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle check. Volunteers are responsible for providing their own transportation.
