Description

Friendship and Flowers Visitors provide companionship, friendship, and wellness to relieve isolation and loneliness of the older adults we serve. Outreach includes a special monthly in-person visit, which may include a flower, treat and friendly conversation. Other means may include phone, written and other methods of meaningful contact. The time commitment includes travel time, face-to-face contact and possibly phone contact between visits for a total of 2-3 hours each month. Friendship and Flowers takes place the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Requirements:
Volunteers must complete the application process and attend an agency orientation prior to beginning volunteer service.

Due to the nature of the program, volunteers must be in possession of a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
