Description

Upward Bound Study Center was founded in 1990 as a Christian non-profit organization serving grass roots new Chinese immigrants in the West San Gabriel Valley through educational, civic, and social assistance. It is also a mission field for Christians to serve the Chinese community and demonstrate ChristÂ’s love for new Chinese immigrants.

Upward Bound's After-School Program serves Chinese high school students in the West San Gabriel Valley who have immigrated to the United States within the last 5 years. English tutors are always welcome to join the ministry.

Requirements:
• A mature Christian
• Have a burden for new immigrant Chinese high school students
• Come to the center once or twice a week on a weekday afternoon
• Teach students English
• Homework tutoring with students
