Description
An employment mentor guides an LSS client who is having difficulty finding employment and is in the need of assistance. These clients are often refugees and often must overcome significant barriers to find a job. Working with our Employment Services, a mentor plays an essential role in developing the necessary skills for the client to succeed in the workforce. Tasks vary but may include: building a resume and cover letter, look for jobs online or in the community, practice developing workplace English skills, conduct a mock interview.
Requirements:
Experience working with ESL communities is beneficial, but not required.
