Description
Spend a year in intentional community serving the intensely diverse community of Miami. Discern your call to urban ministry. Use your skills, gifts, interests by matching them to the needs and gifts of the local community. Participants live together in a house in intentional Christian community. Each participant serves in an individual agency or ministry.
Requirements:
Miami will consider applicants between 18-30 years old. Applicants must demonstrate a mature Christian faith and a desire to serve in an Urban context.

Positions available are greatly varied. The following areas are needed; education, business, public policy, development, sociology, counseling, youth workers, data entry/administration, etc. Almost any interest can be used in this incredible setting.
Some positions need a second language. Spanish and French Creole are very helpful even at a minimal level.
Applications may be submitted past deadline but will be considered for only open positions. Applying early allows for consideration of applicants specific desires.

utilities, including internet and land line phone
local newspaper
groceries purchased together as a team
local bus pass (or gas money of $75 per month)
health insurance
monthly stipend of $100
4-5 retreats in the year
8-12 books for reading and group reflection
(sometimes there is access to a grant that helps to reimburse student loan payments)
