Description
Our Drop-In Center includes access to hygiene products, resume building, a food pantry, laundry facilities, and meals. The youth can come to the Drop-In Center to access services; have a safe place to hang out, and to work with staff and volunteers on the issues that will help them remove themselves from street life. Many youth come just to talk. We also have a shower facility and washer and dryer. In addition, our Center provides a casual forum for kids who are asking questions about God, Christianity, and their own personal spiritual beliefs. It should be noted that Outreach, Inc. provides all services regardless of a youth’s personal beliefs, lifestyle, or practices.
Beginning in February 2010, Outreach, Inc. will hold Night Drop-In Center’s for all youth ages 14-24 every Thursday and Friday night from 7-9pm. The intention of “Night Drop” is for youth to eat a nutritious meal, spend time with staff and volunteers, play games, and interact in a family-like environment. These “Open” drop times require one staff member and at least two volunteers for staffing purposes.
