Description
When a family comes to the "Welcome House" after leaving a domestic violence situation, the mom may be employed.
An immediate concern is child care. We need someone who has the availbility to come to the safe haven and be part of our progam. The perfect person would be someone who has worked with children as a teacher, preschool teacher, child psycologist or a librarian. We have a wonderful area that is for our children called "Bright Space for Children". Here our children can play, read, draw and have fun or even do homework. If it is in the evening, the right person will have to get them into bed after a bath and brushing their teeth, saying the bedtime prayer and reading them a story.
Requirements:
Dependable and understanding of children's behavior can sometimes be unruly. Be creative in activities. Bring a wholeness to the program and come with an open mind to what has occured in their life to have brought them to stay with us.
