Cat Rescue Volunteers needed for Tustin, CA

Description

We are in need of volunteers to help care for the cats that stay at the Tustin store in the kennels throughout the week.

Our volunteers spend about 2 hours in our adoption center during each shift.

Our volunteer duties include: sanitizing the cages, scooping litter boxes, giving fresh food and water, sweeping the floor etc. and socializing with the cats. We will usually have 10 - 12 cats at a time in the store.

Both morning and evening volunteers are needed. Morning volunteers come into Petsmart between 8 and 10am and evening volunteers come into Petsmart between 6 and 8pm.

We are also in need of volunteers that can do the cat's laundry weekly. Our cats in the center are provided with cat beds and linen that become soiled and needs to be changed out and washed weekly. We would like a volunteer or two that can commit to coming to the store and picking up the dirty linens and returning them weekly.

We ask that each volunteer commits to one regularly scheduled day each week.

All volunteers should be at least 25 years old.

We request all volunteers to make a commitment to Caring Friends for a minimum of 3 months. Caring Friends will work with you on an agreeable schedule.
