Description
Community Assistance and Resource for Seniors (C.A.R.E.S.), an interfaith volunteer caregiver program, is in need of volunteers to provide companionship to seniors by phone or in person. Volunteers can make regular phone calls to the client or visits to the clientÂ’s home. All calls and visits are schedule according to the needs of the client and the availability of the volunteer.
Telephone Reassurance phone calls are a virtual opportunity that can be done from anywhere the volunteer has access to a telephone line.
This opportunity is great for anyone seeking experience working in human services or with older adults.
Requirements
Volunteers must be at least 18 years and have a clean criminal background check. Volunteers must also have a desire to help others. An orientation and training are required prior to volunteering. (Criminal background check is paid for by Catholic Charities)
