Description
The Salvation Army's Care House Shelter in Perth Amboy is seeking volunteers who can commit to volunteering at least one day a week from 9am-4pm. The position includes:
- Monitoring residents in the Care House Shelter
- Monitor community donation drop offs, provide direction, and notify the front desk as necessary
- Answer and route telephone calls when necessary
- Greet and direct visitors
- Notify Care House Director of any infractions
- Monitor Computer Lab use.
Volunteer will not be alone with the residents in the Care House Shelter. The Care House Director and/or Case Manager will be on site, as well as other staff throughout the building
Requirements:
Volunteer should have strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a positive attitude.
