Description
Teach individuals in the community about basic budgeting issues and strategies (i.e. savings accounts, money markets, how to balance a check book, cutting coupons). Help participants in the program formulate their own Family Budget Plan. Basically, you will be teaching individuals how to make sure they have the money for rent, utilities, and food each month on a Thursday night from 7 until about 8:30.
Requirements:
Basic computer and financial literacy (i.e. Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, the differences between a want and a need) and, ability to speak in front of 8 to 12 people is required. Anybody can teach the class as long as you are willing (i.e. no special degrees required).
