Description
Each year, AFS welcomes more than 2,500 international high school students to the U.S. These are outstanding young people who were selected in their home countries to study in U.S. high schools and are eager to experience what it's like to live in America. Hosting a student for a year or semester is something you and your family can do to bring more understanding to the world at a time when the world really needs it.
Local AFS Volunteers will support you and your hosted student throughout the process to help you both receive the most from your time together. Host families provide a bed, meals, and the same guidance they would give to their own children. Host families of all kinds are accepted year round and are needed in communities across the nation.
