Description

Newly formed NC Christian based non-profit corporation is looking to find board members to establish a executive board(board of directors) in North Carolina. Looking to recruit individuals that have served on previous boards, but willing to consider candidates with no previous board experience, but have a vast knowledge of one of the following areas: We need individuals that have experience in entrepreneurship, business management, fund-raising, childcare establishments, grant-writing, operational experience with homeless shelters/food banks, and finance.****COUNTY OFFICIALS ARE WELCOME***


Mission Statement-
The Eren Martin Foundation, INC is a resource for people and families that are homeless, need childcare assistance, entrepreneurs, rural communities in Mecklenburg county, along with surrounding North Carolina counties, and international organizations working toward prosperity through economic and social justice. We work towards strengthening families, growing a stable regional economy, promote entrepreneurship and self-independence, and other self-empowerment programs, the Eren Martin Foundation strives to bring change to the communities in North Carolina.



Skills:

Fund Raising-should have prior experience with fund raising, also needs to know how to put in place a structure for ensuring that donated funds are not misappropriated during the collection process

Advertising-should have an understanding of print, video and Internet media, and the general costs involved in using them

Financial-conversant with the tax laws and regulations on the state and federal level as they relate to nonprofits
