The role of a local Bible Sunday Host is crucial to the American Bible Society's goal of getting this generation connected with God's word, and we believe that it will be both fun and fulfilling. The American Bible Society will provide training and tools to help your church renew its passion for the Word of God. U.S. residency required. The Bible Sunday Host will:
Functions
Help ABS staff to:
- Become the point of contact at your church as we seek to engage people with the Word.
- Organize local Bible study or reading groups to serve as a friendly and creative way to reach out to other members of your church, family or neighborhood and promote reading of the Bible.
- Guide churches, ministries and individuals through ordering processes
- Provide catalogs and informational materials
- Spread the word in ways through versions of the Bible and its Scriptures
- Respond to participants' questions and perform customer satisfaction surveys of participants.
- Find innovative methods to intrigue the people about ABS Scripture Resources for ministry, witness and outreach
- Prepare any post-event reports, including compiling attendance sheets, contacting participants to complete surveys.
- Perform other event-related duties as may be directed by ABS staff and inform the general public about ABS and its volunteer opportunities

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Enthusiasm for interacting and for working directly with the public.
- Experience working with culturally and economically diverse people.
Knowledge/Skills desired:
Key Points
- Ability to work well within a team; sense of humor, flexibility and collaboration a must!
- Must be a self starter and able to work alone
