Become A Mentor For Children of Promise
|
Description
For over eight years, Mentoring Children of Promise has been successfully matching adult mentors with children who have an incarcerated parent. We are expanding our program to serve all at-risk youth including children in foster care. When children live in foster care or their parents are involved in the criminal justice system, their children struggle to find their way, often without a stable or consistent adult in their lives. Mentoring Children of Promise breaks children out of this potentially dangerous situation by matching them with caring adults who serve as mentors.
Mentoring Children of Promise is looking for volunteers to take the lead in supporting a young person through an ongoing one-to-one relationship. Volunteers will build trust, respect, and self-esteem by planning and participating in activities with their mentee as well as helping to set goals and working to accomplish them.
We believe ALL children have promise - join us in our mission to reach out to at-risk youth. Volunteers opportunities are available for Snohomish and King Counties! Please become part of our mission!
