Description

Work at Joseph's House, a residential healing & hospice community for those dying of AIDS and Cancer. We need 'compassionate companions' each year through the Discipleship Year Program. Tasks include taking people to the doctor, sitting by their bedside when they are ill and/or dying, cooking, cleaning, and generally relating/hanging out with residents.

Requirements:
People with compassion in their hearts for those who are suffering. A college education is helpful but not required. We do require that people be 21 years of age to join this program.

1st round of applicants who get application in by March 1 are given 1st consideration. Then others apply by 2nd deadline date and have options of applying to positions still open for volunteers.
