After-School Program occurs Monday - Friday 2:30 - 6:30. Children participate in a small worship event, snacks, reading and math activities, computer time and homework. The maximum teacher student ratio is 4:1 but usually 2:1. Website: Contact: Requirements: Volunteers must be patient with children and initially build a relationship that is built on God's love and trust. 1:1 mentoring can occur outside the program after an initial relationship has been established. This is an opportunity that can be ongoing for years between the volunteer and the child and their family. High school and up is acceptable regarding age, but most importantly, the volunteer must be emotionally stable and mature in their ability to relate to others, while putting their needs behind themselves.
