My sister gave me the book Be Careful What You Pray For by Nicole S. Rouse as a Christmas gift, and I just fiisnhed reading it. In one day I read the first 9 chapters; it was hard to put this book down, and what a great book it is, and the Reader's Guide Questions are great conversation pieces for a book club! As a single Christian woman this book challenged, inspired, and made me want to examine my life if I'm really trusting my singleness to God. I could empathize with all of Maya's feelings and frustrations. Furthermore, I was encouraged to really count the costs before I make any relationship decisions, to not be so desperate to be in a relationship, and to listen to not only God but those people and things that He places in my life to warn me just as the main character Maya was warned. I'm looking forward to reading more UC books and especially more books written by Ms. Rouse.
