Trying to be the next superstar?

I have a question for you: Who do you worship? Sounds like a joke, right? You're probably thinking something like, "This girl is trippin'. I'm on a Christian website- who else but God would I be worshiping?" Well, many people say this, but do they REALLY feel this way?
 

Is your biggest desire to glorify God?.. or do you thirst to glorify yourself more than him? Do you crave to be famous more than you crave to hang out with our Savior? Do you seek after that girl/dude down the block more than you do our God? Take a step back and really examine where you stand with our Father. I pray that He's number one in your life. If he isn't- PLEASE MAKE A CHANGE MY SYBLING. Jesus says that we should not be striving to achieve status on this earth, but striving to achieve status in Heaven. I'm sure you want to know how we can do this. So let's cut to the chase and get to it- I'm not going to "sugar-coat" this and say that it's easy, because it's not- but we must humble ourselves like small children to be among the greatest in heaven. (Matthew 18) Now, don't get this twisted. Humbling yourself before God does not mean looking as if you have no money and as if you have no confidence, it means that you TOTALLY obey God and listen to what he has to say (Just like a small child obeys and listens to his parents). We have got to trust in the fact that God is in control of our lives and knows what is best for us.

Are we ready to do this? If so, we can start by getting to know God and what he says in His word. Trust me, we won't regret it.
