Project Description: Jonathan Moy's year-long replicable project focuses on introductory computer curricula for elementary students. Jonathan created and implemented three separate curricula, targeting different grade levels (grades 1-2, grades 3-4, grades 5-6)

Project Description:

For her replicable project, Shasta Cole created a blogging program where her students could improve their writing and grammar skills while using blogging as an avenue of reflection, creativity, and self-expression.

In her PowerPoint presentation, Shasta defines what a blog is and how it can be used by students to work on their grammar, writing, and computer skills. She also includes sample grammar lesson plans, examples, as well as activities and ideas for blogging topics.

Back to School

My kids have been back at school almost two weeks now. Soon, the Pico Union S.A.Y. Yes! after school program at the 1st EV Free Church of Los Angeles will be back as well. I am looking forward to the opportunities that will offer. Meeting new kids, hearing from others about what they have been up to. What’s new? What’s the same?

Toronto Update

From the moment these 34 individuals stepped outside their vehicles with hearts and bags full, they had no idea what this week would hold.
The first group to arrive was from Michigan, who had already come last year! As their 34 legs stepped out of the vans, you could see the twinkle in their eyes as they braced themselves for "another" week here in Toronto. They were so remarkably impacted by the people they served, the stories they heard, and the things they saw, so much that they took this programming back home to serve those in their own communities.
