Walk Now for Autism - Tacoma

Autism Speaks will hold our annual Walk Now for Autism - Tacoma on July 19th 2008 at Cheney Stadium.

Autism is a lifelong neurological disorder that strikes children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years. More children will be diagnosed with autism than with aids, cancer and diabetes combined, and yet only .3% of the NIH budget will be devoted to autism research and science. 1 in 150 children are affected by autism. And since boys are four times more likely to be affected, 1 in 94 boys is on the autism spectrum.

Our Walk is our primary fundraiser for the year. We hope you will be moved to help us raise funds and awareness to fight this devastating disorder.
