Dale's Story: From Prison to Rescue Mission Chaplain Dale's Story: från fängelse till Rescue Mission Chaplain

In December of 1990 I came to the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake in Utah. I december 1990 kom jag till Rescue Mission i Salt Lake i Utah. I been out of prison for about 6 months at this time. Jag tagits ut ur fängelset i ca 6 månader nu. I was in prison for grand theft because I was supporting a drug habit. Jag var i fängelse för Grand Theft eftersom jag stöder en drog vana. I had been homeless at times even before I had entered the mission in Salt Lake. Jag hade varit hemlösa ibland redan innan jag hade kommit in på uppdrag i Salt Lake. While at the mission in Salt Lake I heard about the Spiritual Training Program and decided to see if I could get on it mainly because it was cold outside. Även vid uppdrag i Salt Lake jag hört talas om den andliga utbildningsprogram och beslöt att se om jag kunde få om det främst eftersom det var kallt ute. After being there for about a week and hearing the Gospel I turned my life over to Christ. Efter att det för ungefär en vecka och höra evangeliet jag vände mitt liv till Kristus.

After completing the program I felt the Lord leading to stay and help in the mission. Efter fullgjord programmet kände jag mig Herren leder till vistelse och hjälp i uppdraget. I was given the position of House Manager. Jag fick ställning House Manager. During my time as House Manager I felt the leading to learn more about the Bible and a desire to share in the evening Chapel Service. Under min tid som House Manager jag kände de ledande att lära sig mer om Bibeln och en önskan att dela på kvällen Chapel Service. With the help of the Director and others I was able to do Bible Study through correspondence with Trinity Bible College. Med hjälp av direktören och andra som jag kunde göra Bible Study genom korrespondens med Trinity Bible College. After a year and much study I was given the position of Assistant Director. Efter ett år och mycket studien fick jag den ståndpunkt som biträdande direktör. During my time as Assistant Director I continued my studies and with help from others learned more about the ministry of Rescue. Under min tid som biträdande direktör Jag fortsatte mina studier och med hjälp från andra lärt sig mer om ministeriet för Räddning.

I remained in the mission of Salt Lake until 1999 until I felt the leading to learn other aspects of the ministry and accepted a position at the City Mission in Cleveland, Ohio as a Chaplain and Supervisor of Transitional Housing & Family Shelter. Jag stannade kvar i uppdrag Salt Lake fram till 1999 tills jag kände de ledande att lära sig andra aspekter av det ministerium och accepterade en position vid City uppdrag i Cleveland som en Chaplain och tillsynsmannen för tillfälligt boende och familj Shelter. During my time in Cleveland I was able to take more classes in counseling, recovery and other aspects of ministry and was given the opportunity to take the City Vision College course offered by the AGRM. Under min tid i Cleveland jag kunde ta fler lektioner i rådgivning, återvinning och andra aspekter av departementet och fick möjlighet att ta City Vision College kurs som erbjuds genom AGRM. These courses were very beneficial as they gave me insight on all that goes on the operation of a Rescue Mission. Dessa kurser var mycket positiva eftersom de gav mig insikt om alla som går på drift av en Rescue Mission. I remained in Cleveland for 4 years and am now a Chaplain at the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission in Philadelphia, PA. Jag stannade kvar i Cleveland för 4 år och är nu en Chaplain på söndag frukost Rescue Mission in Philadelphia, PA.
