Summary:

The Equipping Church Guidebook is a practical manual designed to prepare churches to live out their faith not only in a church setting, but also in every aspect of their lives. It describes the biblical mandate to “equip the saints for the work of ministry” and also provides practical steps and resources to help move congregations from knowledge to action.

The book is divided into two sections. Part One, Building an Equipping Ministry Vision and Culture, is designed for pastors and other paid and non-paid church leaders. Part One is designed to help the church’s leadership team build a vision for the church that will serve as a solid foundation for equipping the congregation.  The Manual includes exercises intended to foster dialogue and decisions among the leadership team. 

Part Two is designed specifically for the member of the leadership team who will be responsible for implementing the equipping ministry vision created by the leadership team using Part One of this manual. Part Two provides more of the how to’s and practical steps for carrying out the vision among the congregation. The manual includes ministry models and worksheets in order to help the team leader develop a strategic plan.
