Paul Caputo, Volunteer Network Coordinator
Having graduated from the Boston Public Schools with an academic scholarship to a prestigious university, Paul Caputo ended up choosing an altogether different path for his life. He doesn’t have a college degree or fancy title attached to his name. Instead, his passion for the arts led him to a dual career in Music and Painting; which eventually led to both a recording contract and a full-time apprenticeship in the Painters’ Union . In June 2004, however, life as he knew it came to a crashing halt – in a very literal sense. A scaffolding accident at work left him partially disabled and unable to continue painting or playing his bass guitar. But through the trials of suffering and heartbreak, a miraculous event occurred. Two months after his accident, Paul began following Jesus as the result of an intense spiritual awakening while traveling to Alaska. Trading sorrow for joy, he is now actively involved in his church community at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Greater Boston; serving on several ministry teams. After having taken a full year to recover from surgery in 2006, Paul rejoined the work force in 2007. In September, he joined the TechMission Corps Program as a Volunteer Network Coordinator.
