Tool #9: Program vs Paradigm
Is mission a program ... or a paradigm?

Of course, mission can (and should) be both! Mission programs should flow from a missional
paradigm. A ministry program without grounding in a missional paradigm is in danger of
becoming isolated from discipleship, spiritually stagnant, and eventually secularized.

Discuss the following chart. Examine whether your church just has (or wants to have) programs, or whether programs are rooted in a broader missional paradigm.
