TechMission Corps
- A basic living stipend for the year of $12,100, which is disbursed bi-weekly
- Health insurance (see the AmeriCorps Benefit Explanation and the Plan 1 Information Summary (both PDFs))
- At end of year, an educational award of $5,550 to pay off past student loans or future educational expenses
- Federal student loan deferment or forbearance
- Childcare, if eligible (for more information, see GAP Solutions, INC's website)
- AmeriCorps benefits do not affect eligibility to continue receiving government assistance, such as food stamps
- Possible rental assistance
- 50% discount on online courses from City Vision College
City Vision College (35 Hours/week)
- Unlimited online courses from City Vision College
- Free room and board
- Some training sites will provide a modest stipend
- Because their tuition is paid, students will receive any Pell grant or other federal financial aid paid as cash payment (up to $5,550) and may use the funds for other education-related purposes or living expenses
