·    petition,

·    declaration,

·    complaint,

·    meditation,

·    submission,

·    penitence,

·    imprecation,

·    intercession,

·    thanksgiving, and

·    praise.

Each type of prayer is explained before examples of these prayers are given.  Each prayer ends with a Bible verse.
